is it worth "blocking" this off.....hondamaniac said he did...and it "felt like i added a 100 horse" LOL does it really Add....Or restore horse? where exactly is the EGR valve?

Duckydos 04-30-2003 02:55 PM

ShEaNy 04-30-2003 02:58 PM

y does the weather matter? huh?

Well, if you don't want to block them off, clean the ports out. I saw several posts on SH back in the day where people looked and they were almost completely clogged with carbon deposits. I plan on doing this when I have some time, its not that hard.

where exactly is this port...on the block?

sure the manifold ports weren't already clogged ;)

p.s.: EGR systems only operate at crusing speeds, they never operate under full throttle accel

Hey Stefan, did your car throw a CEL after doing the EGR mod? I'd rather just disconnect mine instead of clean it.

ebpda9 05-03-2003 01:23 AM

nope no CEL. mine is connected and all but underneath it has the sheet metal from a beer can so it's canceled

ShEaNy 05-04-2003 06:57 PM

can u get any pics of how it looks?
