fuses
Some of you may remember I installed indiglo gauges a while back. I forgot to ask until now...do I have to install a fuse for this?
|
An inline fuse could never hurt.
The way that I installed my guages was this: I simply pulled power from one of the bulbs on the back of the guage cluster. Probably not the best way to do it, but it was already powered up. |
My wiring is a mess anyways...

And finally the gauges at night, complete with a Check Engine Light!

I also used the bulb from the back of the cluster as a power sorce. But I really dont know what fuses are. I dont know if its important to "fuse" something. Can someone help me on this topic?
I just saw on another forum saying that you should fuse your stuff so you dont have a fire or short circuit or something....anyone? |
How to get a white gauge?

Ok now for the question...is it Necessary to put a fuse for the indiglos? And if I do...where do I put the fuse? which box and which row, etc.
|
i dont know if u have to put a fuse on them but it is always been one of my things that i put one on anything that gets power just as a safety thing but as far as the rest i dont really know (dont have indeglos )
|
i wouldn't bother with it. the bulb behind the cluster is fused so screw it. save yourself some time

Yeah, but just FYI its very easy. The fuse just goes inline with the power wire! |
