ohiochica 02-11-2003 09:30 PM

never ever put styrofoam in teh micro! it will give off cancerous gasses. and it melts into your food

firstgeardude 02-11-2003 09:40 PM

yeah dont nuke styrofoam...I made it in chemistry lab before...shows you that its a lot more unsafe than they show it off to be...youre really only supposed to use them chilled...and who does that?!

my girlfriends mom has this plastic glad containers that she can cook stuff in the oven with. Up to 450 degress, and it isn't even hard plastic you can bend it quite easily

Microwaves just suck in general. If you put a whole uncooked egg in there for a long time the door will blow off.

pdiggitydogg 02-12-2003 09:50 AM

^Ive done that :D

Seriously?

msvtec14 02-12-2003 10:20 AM

Yeah. This one time one of my friends was talking about how he put an egg in the micro for like a half hour or something and the egg exploded and the door flew off. So one time my friend and I came home from the bar. I convinced her that we should try this. Her parents had this little dinky 70's microwave and the egg blew up and one of the hinges blew off the door. And it smelled. But it was really funny.

ChrisCantSkate 02-12-2003 10:29 AM

og.. 1/2 an hour i was thinking 3 or 4 mins

msvtec14 02-12-2003 10:38 AM

Yeah. One thing that I don't understand is why he put it in for that long anyway. I know that I did it too see if it worked.

DomesticImport 02-12-2003 01:06 PM
