So blown away by this

Okay, for all of you who don't know, I bought a new car. A Mustang GT to drive while my car is in the shop. I bought it from an Auction & got a great deal on it. I should make about $2,000 when this deal is over with. (or would have)

It did have a few problems, the passenger's side door didn't lock when you pushed the lock button, the driver's seat was supposed to be electrically adjustable, but didn't adjust, & there was a small crack in the windshield. No biggies.

My dad told me to let him take it to his shop and he'd fix these problems. I said ok & asked if it was going to be driven around. (I'd like to keep the miles low for resale.) He said "No, no one will drive it w/no tag & no insurance. I say "O, ok"

Then, he calls today & is like "well, I'm just gonna put insurance on it & drive it & work the kinks out." :pukey I was like "NO! NO! that wasn't the plan!!!!" So he put insurance on it today.

THEN! My sister calls me tonight and asks: Did you tell dad he could sell your mustang? I was like "OMG! NO! I WOULD NEVER TELL HIM THAT!!!!" & she says "Well, there's a big FOR SALE sign in it out front."

I'm freaking out here guys! I'm painted into a corner on this b/c if I get all bitchy, he won't fix my CRX for free. (which would be HELLA cash to have done by ANYONE else.) But I DO NOT want to be had like this! I HATE my stepmother and I DO NOT want to have bought A BRAND NEW MUSTANG for HER to drive around!!!!!!!!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH:crazy:   :censored: :censored: :bs:  :banghead: :banghead:

shitty Quin...I hope everything works out.......

maybe he figured out something is wrong with the car and wants to get rid of it as soon as possible, or he will have the crx fixed quick and meanwhile he just advertises. why don't you call him ?

firstgeardude 02-03-2003 07:59 PM

sounds like quite the misunderstanding

Wren57 02-03-2003 08:32 PM

that sounds f'd up... just talk to your dad and figure out what the hell his plan is, Im sure he has something in mind... just talk to him, thats the only way to get what you want...

juvenile 02-03-2003 09:34 PM

wow....hopefully it's a misunderstanding!

Sol's Eye 02-03-2003 10:50 PM

Just talk to him. But make sure to keep your head, and play it cool. You can tell him how you feel and work things out without getting bitchy, yanno? I think it sounds like a horrible misunderstanding that could be worked out with a little conversation. Good luck and hope it works out okay!

ShEaNy 02-04-2003 12:25 AM

call him...ask...dad ....WHAT ARE U DOING..... ;) ;)

Racing Rice 02-04-2003 07:16 AM

I agree with the rest of the posts. Confront him in a nice way and talk to him about it. See what he has to say. If he gives you problems then kick him in the nuts and take your car back.. ;) *j/k*

GirlRacer 02-04-2003 12:21 PM

Thank you guys, this helps alot. I still don't know what to do. I'm seriously backed into a corner. If I do the wrong thing, my CRX won't get fixed. I don't want to risk that.

ifeldwn02 02-04-2003 09:44 PM

that sucks because the only thing u can do is talk to jim about it but it could be a very fine line

ifeldwn02 02-04-2003 09:45 PM

sorry ment to say him

RU_Teg 02-04-2003 09:51 PM
