It will work with any intake of the same diameter. The Apexi intakes seem to be expensive and they'll come with another filter. I dunno... |
shit....cause the weird thing is that it's not like intakes i've seen...it's just the damn filter....i cant even attach this to anything...just a big hole on one side to where you're suppose to attach the filter.....so could i just buy piping for any intake and that should fit?? i dont wana return it cause it's a 20% restock fee....gay ass shit man i'm kinda pissed...i talked my bro into getting it and now he wont be able to use it. Has anyone used this thing, any homemade tips i could use??
|
anyone know where i can get a adapter that attaches to the filter so i can slide it indo my stock piping?
|

yeah exactly i just need the part that connects the filted to the piping...i found some online but shit i'm not gonna pay like $30 for a simple part. Any suggestions?? also remember not worth returned because of 20% restocking fee.... |

You need aftermarket piping to do this, don't try to attach it to the stock box... there's no point. If you found piping for $30, go for it. Another alternative is to get a super cheap ass Ebay intake and put this filter on it. |
are the inside diameters of the intake and the filter the same ? if yes you could remove theairbox and have some pipe the same diameter connect the 2. i hope i made some sense.
|
what i want done is to put filter onto the stock piping...well this isn't for my car and i haven't found any piping for my bro's car...cavalier 2.2, but it's still the same problem...but i like the idea of buy and cheap ebay intake....i'll try that
|
go to home depot or lowes or something that has "plumbing" supplies and get a "rubber plumbing adapter" that would fit inside the stock intake arm and around the apexi intake.
i bought this generic intake w/o the arm on ebay, and what they game me was a rubber plumbing elbow that fit just right... but i like the chrome looks, so i just ordered the extra arm... sad but GOOD LUCK!!!! |
thanx alot...i'll try it this weekend
