H23A on the street
Hey,
Does anyone know if it is possible to put an H23A in a streetable CRX? What's the biggest street motor possible? -Karma |
wtf would you put an H23A in a car? it doesnt have Vtec.. and less horsepower than the H22A...
|
cause its a cheaper engine that produces mpore low end tq. but no you cant, they weight just about the same as a h22. and will fit just like one(cutting firewall required)
|
Yea, I kinda figured out that it wouldn't be too fun in tha twisties.
Are the B20 engines using the same block as the other b-series? Kinda like the 4g mitsu's. -Karma |
b20 is a bored out ls block more or less
an h22 or h23 will fit in a crx- bu tit will be VERY TIGHT |
i know hasport makes a kit for h22's and 23's to fit in del sols, but i'm not sure about CRX's
|
Isn't the del sol just a shortened civic?
|
Was talking to people at endyn's site and they suggested a b20.
Does anyone know how a '92-'95 civic handles with an h2 in it? |
the eg's will handle a h22 pretty well if you upgrade the suspension.

I believe the Del Sol is more akin to the CRX, except that it has a less cramped engine bay. |
I thought that a crx was just a shortened 89-91 civic. What is the differnce in the chassis besides the obvious length?

you COULD put an H22 or 23 in a CRX if you REALLY wanted to, but it would be a big pain in the ass to fit it in there and everything. If i were you I would go with a B20 just because of size and such. And an H22 or 23 wouldent be all that great for street use.
