Fuel Cleaner
Well guys, I know lots of you have higher-mileage engines, and I thought yall might like to know abt this... I have about 26k miles on my Highlander, and change the oil every 2.5-3k miles... two days ago I added Valvoline Synpower Complete Fuel Cleaning System or something like that into my gas tank and  it actually makes a difference! Car idles smoother, takes off much smoother, etc... def worth the few bucks!
never done anything like that to my machine.. maybe i should. Does it work for all makes and models?
Yup, sure does. Recommended every 12k miles... oops, I missed last time:loco:
lol i'm at 50k so i've missed a few, but its been into the dealership for everythign.. you figure they've taken car of it at their end?
Well this cleans out the injectors and carbon build up on valves etc... I doubt theyve done anything about this...
i tried that and the best one i've ever seen is the lucas thing. the bottle sells for $3 at Napa
hmm...im due for an oil change in a few miles...ill keep that in mind...hopefully i can remember :D

Not unless you had them specifically clean the fuel system. |
Yup... I do that too. I think it does the job!
I usually use the STP fuel system cleaner, along with oil system cleaner before every oil change. basic car maintenance!
I just bought some prestone fuel cleaner, we'll see how it works.
i just poured a bootle of lucas oil engine and fuel system cleaner in my tank. i can really feel the difference in only 9 miles. the best test was going uphill on a 45 degree incline and on top i already hit 60. before on top i could hit only 40-45mph.
I used to use Techron stuff every 3k, but I've been slacking. I'm thinking about taking the car in to Honda to get a full fuel system cleanout. Afterall, I have over 100k on this engine now.
