Stock Eclipse
 

So me and my cousin was having this conversation about eclipse. He said his friend had a eclipse with stock turbo. I dont believe him so lets ask the Pros. Does all eclipse come with stock turbo? If not, What year of eclipse come with stock turbo?

Yes they do, GSX and GSTs have turbos, the GSX being the AWD version. I'm not sure on the years without looking them up.

Yeah, I believe those cars are pretty f'n fast! :yes:

GST - 15.5s 1/4mile
GSX - 14.9s 1/4mile

Guess it all depends on what you define as fast, i wouldn't call those times fast. For a turbo'd car they are slow where as the 2000 Honda Prelude SH is 15.5s 1/4mile without a turbo. If memory serves me the Eclipses are slow because of weight, being heavy and all.

I know that's not fast for a turbo'd car. But with a few small mods it'll go fast because it's already turbo'd. Chip it, increase the boost by a few psi, and change the exhaust. I think that'll make it run nicer.
And the prelude SH is a very nice car too!

We have a customer from the USA who came up to vist us in a GSX said the dealership kicked up the boost and it still has room to haul a$$ @120mph.

Im not sure how easily it is to get them fast, we both meet rob from virgina and hes going to alot of work to get his car "FAST"

Yeah but the guy wants to run at 9's.....so that's why he's puting alota mods on.

Yeah I know. That's actually crazy fast. Too fast for a daily driver. I think 13's would be good enough for that cause or else you'll be too tempted and will run into problems.
What I was trying to say is those times for the Stock eclipses are pretty fast, just they could have done a bit better considering it's turbo'd!
