What the hell? Dude...it could possibly help people understand how cancer works and how to attack it. My dad died from lymphoma....and I'll help any way I can. |

Dude, that's pathetic. If you think it should die then stay the hell out of it. Should the thread really die because you can't understand the concept? Is your idle CPU time being used by something else valuable? Anyway, nobody's forcing you to "fold" so don't worry about it if I pop this thread back up now and then. When ShagginJet had the chance, he brought TONS of CPU power to folding and there's a chance someone else would want to help too. |
Just added a AMD Athlon 64 3000+ HT, running duel client. Will be adding another identical in a month, and an athlon xp 2800 in a min or two...
?? - Is it quicker to run duel client at 1/2 cpu speed or single client at full? Does the HT feature of processor run both processes at full speed? |

I have a 3200+ here and it doesn't have HT. I don't think any of the 64 bit AMD CPUs have it.... could you be mistaken? The HTT of the AMD64s is not the same as HT of the P4s... If not, let me know and I'll look into it. I run 1 client on my AMD64 @ 100% and it works just great. Did you go to Stanford and download the new client or did you use the links in this thread? There are new clients @ folding.stanford.edu. Thanks a lot for adding all of these CPUs! It all helps :) I'd like to see some other members jump on the bandwagon and add some power too! |
