Man, some of you guys have some sweet setups.
Heres my junk: Kenwood MASK headunit mounted about the cupholders. Stock headunit still in place. Stock mids and highs w/ factory tweeter kit. 2 - 12 inch Infinity Reference (The old, old ones) USAcoustics 250X2 amp (I think thats what size it is.) One of my 12s is echoing. Sounds like ass. Im thinking about getting some new subs if I can make my cheap ass buy some. Once I figure out what I want that is. :banghead: |
Hey Illusion....
You'd get more out of that setup if you face the subs towards the rear of the car. |

Ok...I have two Kicker 12's...I have 6 1/2 polk speakers all around...I have a Pioneer deck (detachable face, of course), I also have a crossover but I don't know what size amp that is...I just know that it hits pretty hard...this guy I work with claimed that his would hit harder than mine...I let him hear it and he automatically surrendered and confessed that mine DID hit harder than his...easily...ha ha ha

Basicly to me, sounds the first thing. I wasted too much money on it for that extra sound.
-Two Apline v12 series amps(one for subs and one for speakers) -alpine head unit 7893 -Dual kicker subs cvr12 (custom made box by me) -Two front alpine tweeters -Tsunami wiring no other speakers as of yet. I want to get my hp up now, time to sell all my excess stuff on ebay =) |
why do you all buy your system from different brands? when i get mine im going to have all alpine so much better then sony or any crappy brand like that. if your going to spend the money on a system why not save up a grand more and get a really nice one
|
whats wrong with my system, oh wait not a damn thing, want to know why, cause i bought the best thing i could buy from each category, cause hey i like mtx amps, but their subs suck ass, and rockford has good amps but their subs suck.
listen super_dave i dont know who you are but that post made it sound like you are better than everyone else and saved up more money than is actually needed just my .02/c |
not saying anythings rong with it i just would perfer it all from the same company...
|
Mine:
Panasonic 7inch widescreen indash DVD/CD/MP3,etc Screen Alpine Digital Amp(i think 500 watts...) 1 - 12inch Alpine Sub (900 watt max) Rockford Wiring(power, ground, etc) Stock speakers :( in all doing this..we relocated the battery in the trunk...easier to get wires to the amp and more room for intake:) I had a Capacitor...but i sold it...thats the next thing to come...plus a custom made plexiglass box for the sub..ill come back with all the right numbers and names for everything later..but thats the general set up right now..:)..thats about it. |
