i was thinking about making a grill too. I was first gonna get one of those billet grills but they're a lot of $$$ so i went to sears hardware and they have gutter covers that look just like a billet grill for $1.99. i might not do it though b/c it might look bad. i will prolly end up getting the billet grill any way.

i know grille craft makes the grilles, but IMHO they look ugly cause they are practically flush with the bumper, i like how it goes in on the custom ones

It took me 4 hours to cut and mount it.. But its a perfect fit.

This spring I'll be throwing this one out. I'm gonna make a new one and paint it white. I'll probably make one for the top as well

You think its better as is?? Cause I seem to be the only one who thinks white would look better..

Alpine : I used some sort of metal wire.. I think it was zinc coated, for it not to rust.

Brandon, the original color of the mesh is silver..

I really dont know what to do..

I guess I should try it. If it looks good, cool. Or else I'll make another one, silver this time.

My buddy and I recently made our own grill out of plastic gutter cover. This is sweet because it won't bend or break like metal. The only thing you have to be a bit careful about is painting it. We primed about two coats and painted them gunmetal for another two coats. You should really do more, but we were impatient! Anyways, we took the bumpers off and used zip ties to hold the grill on, you have to drill holes into the bumper, but no cutting is required for the rest of the bumper. Slip the zip tie through the holes and tighten and you are in business. I suggest you zip up as much as you can before you cut it to fit your hole.

heres the custom grills I made. they cost me about $6.00 and 4 hours. I got some fencing from home depot and used some screws and washers I had in my garage. I ve been thinking of typeing up some direction. this pic really don't do the top grill much justice. if you guys like them let me know and I'll type up some directions. i still need to find a way to attach my honda emblem back on it helps out alot.

Ya print up those directions for us, I have been digging around trying to figure out the best way to do it and make it looke nice. What do you all think about leaving the stock stuff on behind it, I know its easier but I was wondering if you think it looks kinda wierd??!?!?
