Hello all,

I know I haven't been around in a while. I had slowly stopped posting in the forum and then got rid of my Accord and stopped posting all together. Then I checked my e-mail the other day and had a thread notification that someone had bumped.

In any case, just wanted to pop my head in and say hello to all of the old crowd.

Steve (GT40FIED) you crazy bastard. I hope you're doing o.k.
Stefan, is he still alive?
Anna,
Darin, Broke Back? :pfft:
KwikR6, for remembering my b-day.
Too many and it's been too damn long.

And this is what I'm driving now. Nothing special.

I won't get into a debate but I've owned everything Japanese from Honda, Toyota, Nissan, etc. and it is a night and day difference. The interior isn't cheaply made, the exterior is built with higher quality and VWs are much safer vehicles. They are quirky though and I agree the older ones are better but I didn't know that at the time I bought mine.

I had my Honda for 3yrs and got tired of it. Plus guys like you that can't respect a car for what it is instead of putting a stupid titles on it ruined the entire Honda scene for me. I blame the Fast & Furious movies.

Volkswagons go on forever, especially the diesel ones. My dad had a '84 VW Rabbit that he finally sold a couple years ago that had over 180k on the odo and it still ran fine

No boser for me. I was thinking about filling the hood notch and going with a badgeless grill but changed my mind....and I have gone to that site a few times. I wish it was a little more realistic though.

i hate you too rob
What's going on Chris? You still got the 'lude?

Good to see your still around too. I read about your "situation" and I'm sorry man. I went through the same shit 5 years ago. Karma is a bitch and things will work out in the end. I got remarried and couldn't be happier.

As for the Jetta, I'm really just going with a slightly modified stock euro look. Most of the mods done to my car are OEM parts. Here's pretty much the bulk of what's done:

Magnaflow 2.25" SS catback
Neuspeed springs/Koni Yellows
17x8" riaL Nogaros
OE Audi TT Brake Upgrade w/Hawk
15mm H&R spacers (on rear)
Textured black front grill & mirrors
OE 4 Motion front valence
OE Textured Rubstrips
OE 4 Motion rear valence
OE passenger side stubby mirror
Enfig S2000 Perfect Fit antenna
OE R32 interior trim & door pulls
OE Euro switch
OE Monster Mats
OE TT pedals/Beetle S Dead pedal

Yup, I'm still around. Someone has to keep these fools in line.. Oh and thanks man. Everything happens for a reason, I'm not worried about it. Everything is finally done and over with now I can move on with my life. I have a feeling that there are some good things in store for me in the future, I'll be much better off then I was.

Nice mods to the Jetta. I've toyed with the idea of getting one myself, but I still want a WRX really bad. :D

lol, I hear ya.

I can tell you with my situation, it felt like it was the end of the world and it took me a while to "heal" but things got better. You'll be fine. Plus now you get to be a whore!

Thanks for the compliments. Oh, and trust me I would give my left nut for an STi. :)

There really was no healing process for me. I felt like a million bucks since I kicked her out and haven't regretted or really even thought about it since. I now see that there is a much better life for me out there and that she was holding me back from getting what I really want and deserve. Such is life.. You live, you learn, you buy the T-shirt and wear it proudly. lol
