clear lenses

any one selling clear lenses for a 95 lude. or know were i can get them dirt cheap beside Ebay?

Plus how do you get the the ember out of the tail lenses?

im looking to do some cheap modes to help the looks.

ive got a tiny crack in one of mine, but i'll trade you my clears for your stocks strait up

and for clearing the tails.... theres been a few write-ups on some of my opther prelude boards, i'll find one sometime today

The howtos ive seen are pretty straightforward:

You take a spare set of stock tailights. Dremel out the red and amber so all you have is a shell. Get some REALLY good glue and maybe a few other adhesives. You go to home depot and buy those flourescent light covers that you see in office buildings. Cut out the sections you need to make fit around your shell, then slowly bend, glue, bend, glue, etc. until it holds.

Unfortunatly this makes it pretty brittle, and prone to cracking. Cold weather would not be its friend. But its an idea.

i know the one that everyone on preludeonline.com has been using(i looked... couldnt find) was something like heat your oven to 140, let them sit for a short time(which i forgot) then the glue is warm enough to be able to pry the main light from the housing. then the amber comes out with a little work, and can be replaced with some sort of clear reflector.... shit i really godda find it now.

post it up... preludes tails wrap around a bit more than most, making it a little harder to do.

oh to answer your qestion earlier you do have to make them

could you paint the inside and make them all red? would that look good or bad?
