no way...kuhmo supra ecstas are great street tires. very good dry grip and wet grip.

they are a perfect step up for the street because they stay cold. however they suck for the track because you want your tires to heat up there.

supra ecstas are a great all around street tire. long life, quiet, and like i mentioned before about the grip.

and the only diff between the 711s and the 712s is the tire rating.
711s are w rated, 712s are z rated.

i went with the 711s as they are cheaper. and i am not going to be going over 130 mph anyways( w rated ), and i definetly won't be going 149+( z rated ).
i didn't need the zs, no point in them, so i saved a few bucks and went 711s. great tire, especially for the price.

they also have a super sticky tire they recently released...i forget the name but its awesome! right up there with S03 Pole positions

haha, i dont care about the performance, my tires are so expensive that i just went with any tire that had a warranty (205-40-16's) cuz they always lose tread before their recommended milage....and thayre frickin $100 a peice!;(

psh.. Those are cheap..

Kumhos are okay for the money. But I noticed mine developed really bad road noise.:o

Mine has horrible road noise, and HORRIBLE wet traction. I remember an independent company doing various test on different name brand tires, and Kumho always came in last in virtually everything.

I love when it rains, its just like a slick track

Yup...I researched them...plus my friends dad owns a Wholesale tire distributor and they all said they sucked

Derek,

I have a set of Kumho Ecsta 711's purchased from Tirerack.com.

I have to say that they are amazing tire for the price ($54 per tire). My size is 205/50/15. They aren't as good as Ecsta 712 model, but if you read reviews of that tire and are in the "best bang for the buck" mode then you can't do better!!!

Kumho tires definetely don't suck. If you read Sports Compact Magazine you would know of the test they did and how Ecsta 712 was tated best pick among many other tires.

Yes, you can do better, a lot better, but the next tire that's comparable to Kumho 711 or 712 is going to be twice as much MONEY!!!

Dude, you would be stupid not to give them a try...

First off I wouldn't be stupid for not trying them
Second I got all my tires at dealer cost so going expensive isn't that big of a deal.
Third I bought Yokohama Parada Spec 2's which is a great tire.

Well, what can I say, good for you... I hope your Yoko's last a long time.

I also see that you are trying to epitomize yourself with some "ingenious" quotes. By the way, the word "shitty", is spelled with two t's, bro...

Peace out...
